Very nice. I love the look of this place. Kind of reminds me of Honshu from the later Pern books. Only Honshu didn't have all the external carvings, it was almost impossible to find except that it did have a massive ledge that F'lessan used to weyr his dragon and about thirty others after a tidal wave.
I was just poking around for DRoP art..Has anyone else had a run-in about fanworks with the nice old lady author of this series? Years ago, I helped with a fanfiction that a friend was working on. Then she got in touch with us and told us that she would take legal action if I didn't stop. Anyone else had these kind of problems?
On topic~! This is a GORGEOUS piece! You must have put SO much time into this. *applause*
wow, this is really neat! I'm a fan of the dragonriders of pern series myself.
the perspective seems slightly off in some places, and I think that such a moutainous and rocky structure wouldn't normally exist on such flat land. mountains in the background and a bit more uneven ground at the bottom with a path should fix that.
although while unlikely there are ways the ground could split and rupture causing a spewing forth of volcanic rock in a mountain like shape on a flat plain. and these usually are of the granite vareity so it would be great for a dragon weyr
